ePublishingDaily is For Sale

Yes, I’ve decided to put ePublishingDaily up for sale.

The Reason for Selling

Even though the potential (both in reader numbers and financial terms) is much greater than anything I’ve done or will probably do in the future, I have decided to focus exclusively on my own backyard: Australia - with my current blog: SmallOfficeAustralia.

Also, I’ll be producing my very own e-publications and because of that I see a conflict of interest if I continue with ePubDaily. For you see, one of the benefits of covering the information products industry is that you can get your hands on some juicy products to read and review. I’d feel uncomfortable doing this and then turning around and creating my own products based on what I’m reading and reviewing when given to me in good faith.

The Potential

ePublishingDaily is a semi-neglected blog but one that can rise again and quite easily become an authority in the information products industry sooner rather than later.

There is lots of interest in information publishing and the potential is almost endless.

People from all over the world are hungry for quality information on the industry and a new owner, given some time, can easily create a solid reputation as the “go to” person for coverage of the industry.

The potential for advertising revenue down the road is enormous.

The Numbers

I’ll be the first to admit that the numbers over at ePubDaily are not up to scratch - it’s been a neglected blog in that sense but that can be easily changed with some focus blogging.

The current Google PR is: 4
The current Alexa ranking is: 382,007

Currently, the blog is earning no money but with a bit of tweaking (Text Link Ads and fine-tuning the placements of AdSense) a decent revenue stream should ensure. That and the potential for affiliate revenue should not be overlooked.

What You Get

All posts (including many semi-completed posts), the current wordpress theme, the domain name (paid till 2010) and all images. I’ll work with the buyer to make the transition as smooth as possible and will be available to post once a week for the following 3 months.

The Price?

I’d like to keep this sale relatively private, so if you;re a serious prospect please email me at [email protected]

What I can say is that I have been offered $1,500 for the blog so far.
